This year’s featured speaker is Ilse Eichner Reiner, Holocaust Survivor of Theresienstadt.

Orphaned at an early age, Ilse was sent to the ghetto and concentration camp of Theresienstadt. Of 15,000 child prisoners there, she was one of the 100 who survived – only to be deported to Auschwitz. Almost immediately, she was sent to a slave labor camp and then miraculously escaped from a death march. Following her liberation by the Russians, and with great resilience, Ilse built a life enriched by family, culture, and joy.

This event is jointly sponsored by Eternal Life-Hemshech, the William Breman Jewish Heritage Museum, and the Jewish Federation of Greater Atlanta.
